Welcome to a MATH Adventure!!
Dear DAAS 5th
Grade Families,
I am very pleased to be starting a new school year as your child’s 5th grade teacher. It is a privilege to have this opportunity to assist your child on his/her journey this year. I am eager to develop a relationship with each and every student, as well as all of our DAAS families.
Your support (parent(s) and family), will have a positive influence on your child’s learning. Fifth grade is both exciting and challenging. Working with you as partners, is the key to a successful learning experience for all of us. Thus, while each child learns at different levels, I will continuously assess your child so that I can provide a setting that is developmentally appropriate.
In Math Lab students will continue to explore multi-digit computations (multiplication, division, etc.), fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry, data, probability, and more. We will use a variety of hands-on activities to make learning FUN and successful for all!
Each student will be given a PLANNER and they should take care of and update the planner daily. They MUST replace it if they lose it. Please sign the assignment log weekly.
Educationally yours, Ms. House 5th grade Lead Teacher
